Fringe fall fun

The first think I thought after writing that headline…say that ten times fast..Lol! Fringe is one of those details that you either love or hate!  Do you wear fringe or cringe? Let’s see if I can’t inspire love for this amazing detailed texture that sometimes gets over looked! Fall is a time to layer, you won’t see a head to toe fringe, although you know I want one, but you will see ways to incorporate this fun moving detail to your seasons looks.

Try a turned backwards sweater. (The belt definitely helped to keep the sweater closed) A fun pop of marigold with a cream pallet is up lifting. Try this Cream crochet vest from Kohl’s for a great piece to introduce to your wardrobe and get a little fringe on!

My hand made Kimono from Silent Courtier is such a versatile piece it had me dancing in the street! Fringe and lace… such a great combo…don’t you think? I used the color wheel to match the purple with it’s compliment…yellow! So there’s a little look at how fashion IS art!!

I am really enjoying repurposing my clothes this fall. Bringing in and layering things from the summer and turning sweater vests backwards is making me fall deeper in love with fringe!! A little bit of fringe can go a long way. It can be an added little pop to create a great vibe to any look!! I am loving this Chico’s sweater vest!!

Another texture that I adore adding is crochet!! This crochet vest, again wearing backwards, causes for a double take. I was so fascinated with how the orange dress underneath pops the design of the crochet…SO GOOD. This Leather crochet vest from Free People is more than AMAZING!!!

In this picture you see how the crochet vest from the previous picture is supposed to be worn. Either way worn it brings an added layer of fun!

Taking fringe to your accessories can be just the right touch. Have a scarf become a headband and let the fringe lay on your shoulder. Up front and center. Her Name Was has a perfect match to my scarf that is light weight and fringe friendly!

Sparkle makes such a great couple with fringe as well…don’t you agree? This kimono is another Silent Courtier creation! To complete the look I wrapped my ankle buckle of my sandals around my jeans legs to show off my fun socks and to sparkle head to toe!

So……do you think you will be fringe friendly this fall? If yes I would LOVE to see your style combinations at #getahinch and tag @nhinchology! Let’s inspire our fashionista within us!!

Until next style,

Bows~

This fall will be full of extra bows in many textures! Organza, ribbons or silks you can’t go wrong! Bows can be big like my Neubyrne Bow top or a small gift ribbon from your favorite designer tied under your collar for a sweet look!! Speaking about sweets, have you tried Cloud nine cereal bar in Patchogue? IT IS AMAZINg! I got the rainbow bright that is infused fruity pebble ice cream……HEAVEN!!

Fringe~

This fall is full of movement with fringe! Whether you wear a head to toe dress adorned with fringe or use a headscarf, be sure to sway into this forever loved trend! Check out this beautiful fringe shawl from Target!!

This fall the color pallet is AMAZING!! Rust, purples, yellows, tans and lots of bright pops like fuchsia can be seen walking down runways from Chanel to Fendi. The fall rainbow never looked so good!! This amazing skirt at Target comes in all the right fall trend colors and at such a great price!!

Animal prints~

Oh how I ADORE animal print!!! For me head to tow cheetah is just fine!!! For those of you that do not want to look like a wild animal add pops of prints with solids!! This cheetah tee from Target is a perfect mix for your favorite jeans or skirt!!

Tweeds~

What would Fall be without tweeds!!! My mind always goes to Chanel when I see tweed! Have a matching suit or pair pieced within the same color scheme and people will be calling you Coco!!! This pink tweed Halogen x Atlantic-Pacific jacket is now on sale at Nordstrom.

Fall prints~

The crisp fall weather will bring in all different kinds of prints this year!! From plaid to geometrics your eyes will be tantalized! Highlight a piece by pulling colors from the print to enhances and compliment your look!! Don’t be afraid of print…just do it!! My plaid pants came from Walmart. These green plaid pants are screaming my name.

Leather and Pleats~

Leathers and pleats oh my!! Leather brings a texture like no other, whether you rock vegan or the real deal. My eye is on this gorgeous green faux leather skirt from J.crew.

Metallics~

In my book metallics are a neutral that should be used all year round. They brighten a sometimes boring outfit. A little pop of metallic sprinkle goes a long way!! Silver boots, check, these Gold booties from Just fab are on my mind!! Would you wear metallic boots?

Just remember that trends were made to have fun with and to enhance your own unique style!!
