Summer to Fall

Have you noticed a trend on social media right now, people putting away their summer closet to bring out their fall one? Why do people feel they can’t use pieces from one season for another For? For me nothing gets put away!!! I absolutely love having my entire wardrobe at my finger tips to get creative with!! It’s bad enough we have to say goodbye to the fab weather, although I do like my cooler seasons, so I refuse to put all my summer vibes away, sometimes they are the best fall layers!

Take this white cotton tiered dress….yes I do wear white after labor day!!! This can be layered for the perfect white pop into fall!!

Adding touches of black and rainbow Metallic polka dots sends us into cooler nights!

Don’t you dare put away your strapless dresses!! They make for the best layers with blouses and belts!

Stripes and polka dots are always a fab vibe!!! Add a head fascinator and your ready for the office or brunch!

Kaftans are normally associated with summer, lounge wear and resort!!! But don’t you dare think they don’t belong in fall!!

Layer it with metallics from head to toe!!! Don’t forget the rainboots for the pumpkin picking!!!

Turn that summer boho skirt turned strapless into a texture tease!!

Over the knee boots, fur feels, denim and lots of beads are a sure win for a glorious vibe!

Denim and gold pops transition so easily!

I hope that this has inspired you to keep your seasons together so that your style can be elevated and inspirational!!

Fringe fall fun

The first think I thought after writing that headline…say that ten times fast..Lol! Fringe is one of those details that you either love or hate!  Do you wear fringe or cringe? Let’s see if I can’t inspire love for this amazing detailed texture that sometimes gets over looked! Fall is a time to layer, you won’t see a head to toe fringe, although you know I want one, but you will see ways to incorporate this fun moving detail to your seasons looks.

Try a turned backwards sweater. (The belt definitely helped to keep the sweater closed) A fun pop of marigold with a cream pallet is up lifting. Try this Cream crochet vest from Kohl’s for a great piece to introduce to your wardrobe and get a little fringe on!

My hand made Kimono from Silent Courtier is such a versatile piece it had me dancing in the street! Fringe and lace… such a great combo…don’t you think? I used the color wheel to match the purple with it’s compliment…yellow! So there’s a little look at how fashion IS art!!

I am really enjoying repurposing my clothes this fall. Bringing in and layering things from the summer and turning sweater vests backwards is making me fall deeper in love with fringe!! A little bit of fringe can go a long way. It can be an added little pop to create a great vibe to any look!! I am loving this Chico’s sweater vest!!

Another texture that I adore adding is crochet!! This crochet vest, again wearing backwards, causes for a double take. I was so fascinated with how the orange dress underneath pops the design of the crochet…SO GOOD. This Leather crochet vest from Free People is more than AMAZING!!!

In this picture you see how the crochet vest from the previous picture is supposed to be worn. Either way worn it brings an added layer of fun!

Taking fringe to your accessories can be just the right touch. Have a scarf become a headband and let the fringe lay on your shoulder. Up front and center. Her Name Was has a perfect match to my scarf that is light weight and fringe friendly!

Sparkle makes such a great couple with fringe as well…don’t you agree? This kimono is another Silent Courtier creation! To complete the look I wrapped my ankle buckle of my sandals around my jeans legs to show off my fun socks and to sparkle head to toe!

So……do you think you will be fringe friendly this fall? If yes I would LOVE to see your style combinations at #getahinch and tag @nhinchology! Let’s inspire our fashionista within us!!

Until next style,
