The summer solstice is upon us and it is time to bring out the metallics and shine! (Insert Rhianna’s Diamonds song here please!) Sun’s out so it’s time to get noticed with fresh and new takes on fashion.
In my wardrobe metallics are a neutral, thank you Tori Burch! Gold and white are a perfect pair. This combo give an angelic and classic vibe!! Add in some linen and you have the perfect light weight and breathable summer go to!
I encourage you to wear one piece of your wardrobe differently then you ever have before. What I mean by this is make a skirt a top or a strapless dress. The top below is a skirt! Get creative with what you have!! The more ways you can wear one piece the more outfits you can create!!
If you aren’t ready for the full on commitment of buying metallic clothes than add them in with your accessories. Accessories can dress up or down an outfit and gives a wonderful pop to any summer look. Add a trendy accessory like a turban!! They can be worn by themselves or adorned with pins for a bit of added fun.
Another great metallic is silver. It works so well with all shades of grays and creates a monochromatic fashion statement!! Add diamonds with your silver fashion to really enhance the metallic pop!
Gun metal is a striking metallic for the season. If you wear a statement piece (Like the pants below) then keep the top simple. To tone any outfit down add denim.
This time of the year fashion calls for metallics, brights and bling!! Investing in metallic jewelry, accessories and shoes is a way to incorporate a little sparkle to your hot weather wardrobe and be able to use for seasons to come!!
